The current GOP chair, Ronna McDaniel, came in as Ronna Romney. She was always part of the establishment. Thus, she was always on her knees for her uncle, Mitt Romney, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, and House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy.
She knew all the financials going into 2022 and abused them by letting conservative or Pro-Trump candidates go down. The national party also allowed state and local races to go by the wayside while spending extravagantly on booze, travel, parties, etc. Every cycle she’s led the party, she’s lost.
Another problem for many conservatives to deal with is who approved her for the job? President Trump, that’s who!
The man refuses to get rid of “yes” men. He takes too much advice from those loyal to the Republican Party and not the constituents they’re supposed to represent. The former president puts nepotism ahead of qualifications. Trump also put former Democrats like his daughter- and son-in-law into power and positions that hurt those he claims to represent. We are our own worst enemies.
Trump must be more competent, stop listening to some of these advisors who have the establishment as their priority, and eliminate “yes men” who betray conservatives. He should’ve gotten his own person in there. In his defense, as an outsider, Trump must trust those who know the system. The problem is he keeps trusting the wrong people. Can he change? That’s the real question!
