SPORTS ROUND UP

“Mattress Mack” wins record $75 million sports bet payout after Astros World Series win (CBS News)

Congratulations to the Houston Astros, who have dealt with a lot of crap since the stealing signs scandal. All that shows is how much of liars our sports industry media are.

Teams do it, and they know it. However, leftist journalists love to get on a soapbox between Hooters’ liquid lunches and giving their money to strippers.

That said, is this a story about a millionaire getting richer? #MattressMack! Congrats!

NBPA President CJ McCollum Condemns Antisemitism While Discussing Kyrie Irving’s Post (Bleacher Report)

This is hypocrisy beyond measure as the NBA is in bed with China and Brooklyn Nets Owner Joe Tsai knows and condones using slave labor for basketball profits. 🤦🏽‍♂️

What is that slave labor, you ask? They use Uighur Muslims in slave labor camps to cultivate and export about 85 percent of their cotton.

Suspended Kyrie Irving gets support from controversial retired Bills player Cole Beasley (Daily Mail Online)

The woke leftist media will use this to make Cole Beasley look antisemitic because they don’t like him. Beasley rightfully refused to take the “jab.” He’s not antisemitic; he’s defending Kyrie Irving’s right to free speech.

What’s worse? Again, the hypocrisy of the NBA using slave labor for profit is talking down to us on morality.

Insane stat shows how bad the Raiders and Josh McDaniels are failing (thecomeback.com)

To Raiders Nation: your team has lost for years, and everyone knows their 2021 playoff run was a fluke. This team’s front office has been one of the worst in the NFL. In fact, it continues by overpaying for a wide receiver and tight end. It’s one thing to put salary cap future woes on a quarterback, but a running back or receiver. That’s purposely setting yourself up for failure.

Let’s see if Josh McDaniels can learn how to win. If the defense ever decides to show up, he will.

Don’t forget, it’s a new offense and a team with no discipline. If this shocks you, you haven’t really been a Raiders fan, have you? This wasn’t the season where they would make an impact.

Any fantasy anyone had on that is over! 🤦🏽‍♂️

Davante Adams voices frustrations with Raiders, NFL world reacts (thecomeback.com)

Davante Adams’ contract is hurting the team to build depth. He’s also not a difference-maker. The wide receiver position is incumbent on the quarterback; often, Derek Carr’s not getting him the ball.

Regardless, close losses can unify and create growth in a team. We call it experience! Eventually, they’ll win by playing a complete game, i.e., executing the game plan. While the focus is on offense, the Raiders’ defense has fallen apart.

If Josh McDaniels is worth anything, he’ll figure it out. If not, he’ll live up to the unofficial NFL moniker – “Not For Long,” as a head coach or player.

POLITICS, POP CULTURE, AND ENTERTAINMENT

Here’s What Tiffany Cross Said That May Have Led MSNBC To Cancel Her Show (forbes.com)

It’s unlikely most have heard of Tiffany Cross, but you can’t sugarcoat racism. That’s who this bigot has always been. Her goal on the show was race-hustling. Most feel it’s good riddance because her goal was tribalism. They paid her well to distribute hate, and that’s why this show and others like it fail. There are not enough progressives who care to watch. The hate’s there, but the support for leftist mainstream media shows is not.

Most Americans don’t want this, and we want an America where we see each other equally, regardless of race, color, or creed. Ms. Cross did not and never will. She’s a lousy human being and likely a supremacist.

The Witcher Season 4 Will Have a New Geralt of Rivia As Henry Cavill Leaves The Show (forbes.com)

Between Henry Cavill, the sets, the vibrant colors, and the Witcher world made season one work despite terrible writing and pacing. That was a significant complaint. Cavill’s issues regarding the writers have some truth based on the first season and some problems in the second. It was tough to follow the show in season one from a timeline perspective as it went back and forth from the present to the past without the viewer realizing it.

Still, it improved in season two, and we’re excited for season three. Yet, there’s still room for growth. Cavill was great, but he isn’t replaceable. Hell, the wig never worked and looked horrific, so maybe his replacement, Liam Hemsworth, can pull it off.

Why David Hyde Pierce Refused to Be Credited For His Role In Hellboy (slashfilm.com)

In that era, when you heard Abe Sapien, a character in costume from head to toe, you recognized Niles Crane from Frasier. Frasier was still a massive hit. Yet, the actor playing Niles, David Hyde Pierce, was not in the credits, making everyone wonder. The article clears it up, and it makes sense. It’s a beautiful story of egos, or lack of it. It’s fun to see a mystery revealed for hardcore fans.

Students win injunction against Clovis college’s flyer rules (The Fresno Bee)

Freedom of speech supposedly rules college campuses. Isn’t it ironic that conservatives must save our education system as progressives try to destroy it? How quickly do we forget the bastion of free speech on college campuses from the 1960s, or do we? That’s the only time you’ve seen universities speak out for freedom of expression. Since then, we have assumed that campuses are a bastion of free speech, but it isn’t. It’s only a bastion of free speech for progressive, socialist, communist, and non-Christian religious ideas and manifestos. As conservatives and Libertarians with college degrees, we can attest to this.

CNN’s Chris Licht warns staffers shakeup ‘will accelerate’ (nypost.com)

This isn’t new, and it’s becoming apparent the new owners of CNN are not doing layoffs all at once. While that sounds obvious, many felt that’s how it would happen. No, look for layoffs to be staggered and eventually look for more “anchor” names to be let go. None of the current staff are making money for CNN, as their ratings are paltry. Whereas FOX and even MSNBC will see a few million watching their top shows, CNN can’t even clear one million with its talent. It wouldn’t be shocking to see these en masse now that the midterms are done.
